DADDY

Last Sunday was my last day as an intern. I had mixed feelings about coming home. I mean I missed my family, but I had fell in love with the students in Alpharetta. After sharing a few tears I got in my car and headed home. When I got home I got some really awful news. My dad was going to have to have open heart surgery. Instead of my mom and I packing and leaving for Florida like we had planned we packed and headed to the hospital. He has since had the eleven hour surgery and now is recovering quite nicely. It has been a long long LONG week. I have never cried so much, prayed so much, or been so tired in my entire 21 years of living. As I write this all I can think is.... Thank you God for being faithful to my family, and thank you for the journeys we have to travel so we understand and love each other more. GOOD NIGHT

THIS SUMMER!!

WOW! Where do I begin. This summer has been the best summer of my life. Which is crazy when you think about it. I have worked all summer, been away from my parents majority of the time same is true for my friends, and I did not get a boyfriend. But what I did get was a lot of amazing friends, a new family, and a calling. The calling was from the Faithfully faithful GOD. He wants me to work in missions. WHY ME? I dont know that either but I figure that will all be explained in due time. The important thing is I accepted it. People have asked me all summer why are you so happy? Did you fall in love? and all I can say is yes yes I did I feel in love with God all over again and it was even better the second time........He is so amazing and I cannot tell enough people about Him. He brings joy to my life. All I do is think about Him and I am happy. So I guess I end this blog by saying THANKS GOD FOR A GREAT SUMMER...

Today was a good day

Today was a good day. Not all days are good, but this one happened to be. I ate brunch with a few girls in the youth group I am working with this summer. The country style food was great and the company was even better. Then I went to Wal-mart which is always fun. Then I worked at the church for the rest of the day. I love the people there and I love the atmosphere. Now I am at home with my hair pulled back and my comfortable clothes on. Nothing big happened today, nothing great , and nothing awful. It just was a good day!!!!!!!!!
